Description

Taurine plays an important role in the human body for cardiovascular health, brain function, muscle contraction and antioxidant protection, but is mainly found in animal foods.

It is present in high concentrations in the brain, retina, heart muscle and blood platelets.

Many people are also familiar with taurine as an additive in energy drinks.
