Description
L-tyrosine is a proteinogenic, non-essential amino acid, a component of most proteins and the starting substance for the biosynthesis of DOPA, dopamine, catecholamines, melanin, thyroxine and tyramine.
Tyrosine supplementation is able to significantly increase the synthesis of neutrotransmitters, in particular dopamine and noradrelanin, for a short period of around 30 minutes and is therefore also suitable for a short-term increase in performance in the area of concentration and responsiveness.
Due to this short-lived effect of performance enhancement, L-tyrosine is not suitable for supporting endurance sports.
Some studies also indicate a positive benefit of tyrosine in cases of stress, cold and fatigue, although there are not yet sufficient results available.
Consumption recommendation:
1-2 capsules daily with sufficient liquid. Preferably with still water.
Our recommendation:
Only take 1-2 capsules with sufficient liquid if required.
We consider a daily or permanent and long-term intake to be pointless due to the short duration of action.
