Silicon is extracted from bamboo (Bambus Vilgaris) and is only found in very small quantities in the human body.
Nevertheless, the trace element plays an important role in, for example, bone formation, cartilage health, the elasticity of our tendons, the growth of hair and nails, but also in other metabolic processes in our cells and, last but not least, in wound healing.
A silicon deficiency often manifests itself, for example, in reduced collagen formation, changes in cartilage tissue, receding gums or dull or falling hair, but a real deficiency can only be determined by a corresponding blood test.
