L-carnitine is an important factor in the conversion and transport of fatty acids for energy production in the body.
Although our body is able to produce L-carnitine from the amino acids lysine and methionine, additional supplementation can be useful for vegetarians and vegans in particular, as there is practically no supplementary intake via food.
